Responsible for assisting operator to run sheets, meet production goals, maximize machine efficiencies, and operate sheeters while maintaining production equipment numbers and quality. Safety:

Required - PPE must be worn while on your job. At a minimum safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection. Gloves are required on the production floor and warehouses at all times. **JOB SUMMARY:** Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Printing and Sheeting departments, by providing leadership and supervision to subordinates and serves as the link between direct reports and middle/upper management. **BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:**

The Printing Manager will lead a team of 42 employees in the operations of our Omaha NE (folding carton) facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will serve as a member of the site leadership team and directly influence business results.
**Position Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Manages and facilitates the long-term goals of the department, member of the plant leadership team.
+ Responsible for safety, quality, efficiencies, productivity along with interfacing with maintenance department.
+ Provides a communication network between direct reports and upper management.
+ Works with all employees to maintain a safe work environment. Encourages and leads the department to work safely and to continuously improve production practices.
+ Develop and implement safety procedures and policies with the HS&E Manager in achieving departmental and plant safety goals.
+ Assures that the department maintains quality standards and uses SPC techniques for problem resolution through knowledge of product specifications and training of personnel; including plant & SQF processes.
+ Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards.
+ Strives to have a technical proficiency and understanding of the machinery in the department. Provides assistance to the team in problem resolution and assures that testing and product development is carried out in a professional manner.
+ Works effectively with other department managers to resolve issues and coordinate efforts to achieve stated goals, interfacing with the Finishing department.
+ Must provide leadership in full support of GPI's Mission, Vision and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
+ Must provide leadership and be fully supportive of all GPI efforts for LEAN, 5's, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.

**MISSION / SUMMARY**

Adecco is actively recruiting for a Printing Plate individual in Macedonia, OH. Our client is a GROWING manufacturing company that specializes in the production of corrugated specialy items.
The printing plate room worker will be responsible for all activities associated with maintaining the printing plates. They work with different departments to ensure all plates are up to date. They are required to comply with all safety rules and regulations and will complete quality checks to ensure products conform to the companies' ISO quality standards. The printing plate worker is a direct hire job and will offer an hourly rate, overtime, excellent benefits, 401K, PTO and room for advancement.
**Job Duties for the Printing Plate worker in Macedonia, OH:**
+ Maintain a positive work environment with cooperating with coworkers and management.
+ Read and follow instructions on factory masters.
+ Take correct printing plate to press department machines.
+ Pick up all printing plates from press department machines and return to plate room or area after order is complete.
+ Wash all dirty printing plates, remove tape, and band type.
+ Inspect all incoming plates for adherence to specification.
+ Replace printing plates in the proper location in plate room or area.
+ Develop and maintain a system to monitor inactive printing plates and coordinate with sales department their disposition.
+ Coordinate with Customer Service in recording if printing plate location on item masters.
+ Make BMC and box ID strips.
+ Cross train for other job positions as necessary.
+ Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Turn in work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
+ Comply with all safety policies, company policies and procedures.
+ Attend all safety meetings on a regular basis.
+ Perform all duties assigned by management.
**Education and/ or Experience:**
+ High School Diploma GED.
+ Preferred prior experience in the corrugate industry.
+ Preferred six month experience in the Press or Finishing Department.
**Skills:**
+ Basic reading and writing skills.
+ General math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, whole numbers and fractions.
+ Must be able to read tape measure.
+ Ability to properly read job orders that specify the types of ink, plate and material that should be used for the printing.
+ Able to identify design placement from factory ticket for print plate.
+ Able to put order specifications in a company computer.
+ Able to cut material according to client specifications.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direct supervision of the Inventory Supervisor, this position is responsible for operating a pad printing machine to create a tagless label for garments.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4p

Monday-Thursday, 4pm-2am

Pay: $15-$17/hr


A Typical Day (job functions) | Unbox + Remove Tags + Pad Print + Box + Repeat

  • Remove tag from garment in order to print branded design onto garment
  • Operate pad print machine, using a foot pedal, to transfer design (brand/care and contents) onto garment
  • Fold garments and place in box for next step in production process

Additional Duties (on an as-needed basis)

  • Pulls orders of garments for production teams, on an as-needed basis
  • Verify correct garment, color and sizes pulled by weighing/counting garments.
  • Maintains aisles: clear, cleaned and organized racks
  • Follows the 6S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain and Safety
  • Other duties as assigned including special projects

Skills (qualifications) | Accuracy + Repetition + Self-Directed

  • High school diploma preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team
  • Accuracy is required, must be able to print design on appropriate area on garment
