Job Description

The Adsorbent Lead Technical Sales Engineer (with a strong background in adsorbents) will be a key enabler of Honeywell Separation & Purification Solutions (HSP) growth by leading the adoption of UOP's unique adsorbent solutions, including new adsorbent products and technologies, by our customers. This role will focus primarily on growing our business through channel partners in the industrial vertical including zeolite adsorbent beads and powders for window glazing, automotive refrigeration, coatings, removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and cryogenic and non-cryogenic air separation. You will be a critical interface with our channel partners sales and technical teams to incorporate our solutions into new products and formulations.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Participate in discussions with channel partners and customers regarding adsorbent sales to provide technical sales support, review product characterization, and develop an understanding of the customer's needs and expectations to meet or exceed requirements and increase satisfaction.
+ Collaborate with development, business teams, and our channel partners to support the launch of new products through the identification of target customers, development of business cases for specific opportunities, including formulations & designs, input on strategy for sales events, preparation and delivery of technical sales presentations, channel partner training, and direct customer meeting support.
+ Be the source of deep adsorbent expertise and become an expert in adsorbent knowledge for Honeywell. Including compiling knowledge from various stakeholders including experienced sales and engineering colleagues.
+ Develop and provide new and innovative adsorbent technology solutions that challenge the boundaries of existing solution practices. Collaborate with our production team to implement these new solutions in our manufacturing process.
+ Support the execution of all complex and "outside-the-box" adsorbent opportunities through the development of business cases for specific opportunities, including designs, formulations, input on strategy for sales events, and preparation and delivery of technical sales presentations in customer meetings.
+ Collect customer intelligence on regional market trends, competitor strategies, and products. Provide information to Adsorbent Business, Development, and Offering Managers for subsequent analysis.
+ Maintain a thorough knowledge of the adsorbent formulations in different industries such as polyurethanes, design capabilities, including our value propositions from the Honeywell Separation & Purification business unit, concentrating on adsorbents, and becoming recognized internally and externally as an adsorbent technology expert.
**Compensation:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $122,000 - 165,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
**Unique Aspects of the Position (Travel, Overseas, Overtime, Work Hours, etc.):**

SUMMARY

The hired candidate will fill an Inside Sales position that is responsible for domestic sales accounts within a specific territory. They will be accountable for meeting their sales goals, via direct interaction with regional sales managers, channel partners, sales agents, and direct customers. They will be responsible for creating and recording all contact interactions and building an opportunity sales plan, respectively.

Candidate should have experience in technical product sales, CRM reporting and record keeping, and key account management – while having an excellent technical knowledge of load cells, torque transducers, and instrumentation.

The sales engineer daily support efforts are typically provided via phone, email, and written correspondence. The sales engineer initiates, follows through, and ensures completion of all sales orders and channel/customer requests in a timely manner (generally <24 hours). They must work cooperatively and collaboratively with other department personnel to ensure engineering requests, accounting documents, and production orders are expedited according to customer requirements – ensuring all data is entered and disseminated to others accurately and timely.

Travel may be required to meet with, or provide support to channel partners and key accounts/customers. However, primary work assignment is conducted at Interface.

The successful candidate will become an expert in all company products in order to provide excellent technical support to their assigned channel/customer base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Technical Sales Engineer specializing in Architectural Products , you will serve as a technical subject matter expert across our product lines, architectural systems and surfaces, supporting design and engineering assist efforts and enabling accurate, efficient specification and detailing.

You’ll work alongside our field sales team and in collaboration with architects, interior designers, and contractors to bring forward system clarity that supports both project performance and internal manufacturability.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical liaison between F+S Architectural Products and external stakeholders, translating conceptual design goals into system-based product solutions.
  • Collaborate directly with architects, designers, and construction professionals to clarify system capabilities, define scope, and formalize technical product details - guiding engineering efforts and easing project management workload by translating requirements into clear, actionable plans
  • Support field sales employees across the U.S. with pre-sales design assist efforts including technical presentations, detail development, and coordination with internal engineering resources.
  • Provide expert-level consultation on F+S architectural surfaces and systems, including walls, elevator interiors, column covers, and related assemblies.
  • Interpret design intent and align it with manufacturable solutions, ensuring specifications support internal operational efficiency and production feasibility.
  • Contribute to the development of standard installation details, CAD resources, and specification documents in collaboration with product engineering and marketing.
  • Act as a feedback loop from the field, identifying recurring design or specification challenges and coordinating with Engineering to develop scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, architectural products, or system-based product engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, technical detailing, and material performance in commercial environments.
  • Proficiency in reading and developing architectural drawings and product integration details.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to explain complex systems in a clear, practical manner to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and material selection, including a strong understanding of fabrication techniques. Experience collaborating with production teams to translate design intent into scalable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and industry standards (IBC, ADA, ANSI, ASTM) to ensure compliant, functional design of architectural products for commercial and public spaces.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Revit families preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems

SUMMARY

In this position, you will be responsible for accelerating ECM Group equipment sales through targeted Customer needs. This position provides full technical service sales support from lead generation to final contract acceptance, which includes but is not limited to, new business sales efforts, current customer interactions, technical analysis, and final contract reviews.
