AGP is seeking an energetic Sanitation Worker to join our team in St. Joseph, MO! Come work for a company that promotes personal and professional success for all our employees. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition. AGP's St. Joe location is a union facility. The Sanitation Worker is an entry level position that will lead to better opportunities as they open, based on seniority. The shift is typically Monday through Friday 7AM to 3PM but does have some overtime available on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provides general cleaning duties by taking out trash, cleaning up spills, equipment upkeep and performing other miscellaneous duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing and removing trash.
- Maintains grounds and parking areas such as picking up litter and debris. Removes trash from the building on a regular schedule.
- May perform various other duties such as loading materials, moving railcars, stocking inventory etc. as assigned by management.
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen.
- Knowledge of basic building maintenance.

- Strong communication skills, Must read, write, and speak English.
- Organizational skill set.

* Monitors the fitness-for-service, safety and reliability of plant fixed equipment through thickness condition monitoring programs and visual inspections.
* Inspects fixed equipment and piping.
* Makes cost-effective recommendations for repairs, materials selection, and other remedial action in support of long-term reliability.
* Develops piping and fixed equipment inspection plans, in accordance with API 510, API 570 and API 653, using rule-based and risk-based methodology.
* Selects cost-effective inspection techniques to provide reliable assessment of refinery equipment remaining life.
* Interprets and evaluates inspection and NDE data.
* Evaluates corrosion monitoring data, predicts equipment life and adjusts inspection intervals as required.
* Maintains complete and accurate records during inspections so they can be transferred to the permanent files.
* Participates in the planning of and approves the execution of temporary repairs.
* Develops and maintains fixed equipment inspection procedures/practices.
* Reviews design/fabrication drawings and performs fabrication shop/field inspections to ensure conformance to specifications.
* Provides technical support to Operations, Maintenance and other refinery groups.
* Monitors and directs the daily activities of outside inspection contractors during turnarounds and special activities.
* Inspects and monitors all repair and construction work to ensure it is being done per the plans and adheres to all specifications and applicable codes.
* Monitors and reports on the activities and quality of contractors in conjunction with their QA/QC representative.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
**Qualifications:**
* High School diploma or GED required.
* 3 years of experience in the inspection of fixed equipment and piping systems required.
* At least one of the following certifications are required: API 510, API 570, or API 653.
* National Board Inspector Commission certification preferred.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Corpus Christi Refineries, required.
