**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with 8 years of experience in IT and database management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server, with the ability to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems to ensure high performance, availability, and security. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server databases and related software.
+ Monitor and maintain performance, security, and reliability of SQL Server databases.
+ Perform database tuning and optimization to ensure efficient query execution.
+ Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies.
+ Manage database security by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity issues.
+ Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
+ Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree (additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the Degree)

+ 3 years of SQL Server database administration Experience
+ Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, components, and internals.
+ T-SQL experience with query optimization and performance tuning.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
+ Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, clustering, and replication.
+ Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS).
+ Experience with Enterprise SQL Server Database Services (ESDBS)
+ Knowledge of other database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)

The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. Northrop Grumman CIDO - Database Operations has an immediate need for a SQL Server Database Administrator. The DBA selected will provide MS SQL Server database support for business application systems, primarily inside closed areas in our Melbourne FL office. This role will be 100% onsite. This individual will apply and develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
