Job Description
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, labeling and packaging, shipping, logistics coordination, and facility upkeep. This role ensures full compliance with export regulations (EAR/ITAR) and military packaging standards, while supporting company goals for revenue and on-time delivery. The manager will also oversee warehouse safety and operational continuity by ensuring adherence to company and government safety standards and coordinating necessary building or equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities

+ Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
+ Maintain accurate inventory records, cycle counts, and stock rotation practices to support operational and customer needs.
+ Supervise warehouse staff including training, performance monitoring, and scheduling.
+ Oversee general building operations including maintenance scheduling, repair coordination, safety compliance, and facility cleanliness.
+ Prepare and analyze operational reports, metrics, and KPIs to assess performance, drive improvements, and meet revenue and delivery goals.
Qualifications
+ Minimum Qualifications
+ Education:
+ Associate's Degree or two (2) years of related work experience
+ Certifications:
+ Sit down forklift certification preferred but not required.
+ Experience:
+ Minimum five (5) years of warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience.
+ Must have a valid state driver's license without restrictions
+ Two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
+ Familiarity with military packaging standards: MIL-STD-2073, MIL-STD-129, and MIL-STD-130.
+ Hands-on experience managing shipping via small package (e.g., FedEx, UPS) and LTL freight carriers.
+ Strong working knowledge of export compliance regulations, including EAR and ITAR.
+ Knowledge of PIEE portal and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) for invoicing of government contracts.
+ Experience coordinating inspections with DCMA Quality Assurance Representatives (QAR) and maintaining strong working relationships to ensure compliance with government contract requirements.
+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background test.
+ Forklift certification preferred but not required.
+ Skills and Technology Used:
+ Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
+ Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

+ Working Environment:
+ This is a full-time, on-site position based at our distribution center in Chesapeake, VA. The facility includes a 3,000-square-foot office area with a private office for the Warehouse Operations Manager. The adjacent 16,000-square-foot warehouse space is heated but not air-conditioned, with a small climate-controlled area designated for packaging operations. General office hours are 8AM - 4PM EST.
+ Physical Requirements:
+ The position requires attributes needed in a warehouse setting including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting/carrying work related items such as merchandise or supplies.
+ This position requires regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
